Current estimates indicate communities will need to clean-up approximately 2029 homes, 11 community buildings, 59 commercial buildings and 2385 agricultural sheds, dairies and machinery.

The Commonwealth and Victorian Governments will fund and deliver the site clean-up and demolition program crucial to rebuilding communities devastated by the bushfires, the Prime Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd and the Premier of Victoria John Brumby announced today.
Students at Kinglake, Kinglake West and Flowerdale Primary Schools are on track to return to their schools on Monday as their doors reopen for the first time since the communities were devastated by the recent bushfires.
The Premier, John Brumby, today inspected preparations for the National Day of Mourning - Together for Victoria, which will be held at 11am this Sunday, 22 February, at Rod Laver Arena.
Emergency road repairs on the fire-affected Whittlesea-Yea Road between Flowerdale and Kinglake are nearing completion, with the road expected to open shortly.
Marysville, Strathewen and Middle Kinglake primary schools all destroyed in the Victorian bushfires will be rebuilt, Premier John Brumby announced today.
Residents of the Kinglake district are urged to get assistance from licensed electricians for connecting generators and other electrical repairs to bushfire damaged properties. Energy and Resources Minister Peter Batchelor said residents who need a licensed electrician should call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line on 1800 240 667.
