Mountain Monthly is the Kinglake Ranges community news magazine, published monthly with copies distributed to Kinglake, Kinglake Central, Kinglake West, Pheasant Creek, Flowerdale, Strath Creek, Yea, Glenburn, Castella, Toolangi, St Andrews, Hurstbridge and Whittlesea.

Mountain Monthly was first published in 1981 with its aim to ‘help fill the need for more effective communication within the area.’ (MM March 1981). Mountain Monthly formed as a community owned co-operative, run by a Board of Directors and has remained in this format ever since.

Mountain Monthly is one of Kinglake’s success stories. Our aim has, and always will be, to provide the Kinglake Ranges with a voice for the whole district and to foster a sense of identity and unity in our community.
