Frank Thomson Reserve and Look Out


Located at the highest point in the district between Kinglake Central and Kinglake on the Whittlesea-Kinglake Rd is the Frank Thomson Reserve, a section of the Kinglake National Park which offers a fine vantage point over the Melbourne skyline and, on a clear day, Port Phillip Bay.

Currently badly sign posted the best way to look out for it is from Whittlesea end keep an eye out for the entrance just past the large powerlines on the ridge. The entrance is on the right just after the Frank Thomson Reserve sign facing the road.

From Kinglake end look out for Bald Spur Rd on your left, the entrance is not far from there. Also see map below.
